Prithvi Narayan Shah who is also the builder of modern Nepal and one of the greatest Kings Nepal has produced. He was the ruler of Gorkha, a small state in Western Nepal. When he ascended the throne of Gorkha. Nepal was divided into a number of petty states. Within a span of thirty years, Prithvi Narayan Shah conquered the various states and unified Nepal.
